Working with DMC Design to design, manufacture and assemble their prototype Cubbie
In 2020 Flexitech were approached by David McIntyre, MD of DMC Design, an Irish company that had designed a sensory platform for the autism market, which is widely known as Cubbie. Flexitech R&D division had several consultations with DMC Design, to understand the function and mechanics of Cubbie.
DMC required a manufacturing partner, that had the expertise and technical capacity to design, manufacture and assemble their prototype, and that’s exactly what Flexitech achieved.
Flexitech R&D team, headed up by Michael Elmore, worked closely with DMC to come up with a design and that would suit their needs and also minimise manufacturing costs. Regular onsite updates were provided to the client along with fully interactive 3D to ensure the DMC was satisfied with the design and to approve any requested modifications.

DMC-Design Ltd developed the Cubbie booth which offers a multi-sensory space to both children and adults and can adapt to the individual needs of each user. It delivers a total sensory management system.
Cubbie can be found in some of the most prestigious and autism friendly facilities across Ireland, including Aviva, Temple Street Children’s Hospital and technology institutes across Ireland.
